The design of this air purifier is similar to the other air purifiers of the company which we have reviewed earlier also. Looks like a futuristic gadget, as it does not have a visible fan like other traditional air purifiers.
This air purifier also works as a showpiece in the room. One of the specialties of Dyson is the design of their air purifiers which makes it different from any other air purifier.

There is no fan in this air purifier because this company uses its patented technology where instead of blades, air moves through a motor. The company uses air multiplier tech. Because of this, the flow of polluted air occurs in different directions. After this, air is sucked through the base of the purifier and it is cleaned through the filter. You will see many holes in the base which are for this purpose.
Dyson’s air purifiers generally have two different apertures, that is, air throw can happen from both the front and back sides. The company claims that this air purifier cleans 99.95% of pollutants from the air, but we currently do not have any standalone device to test this claim. However, when we checked it with the sensors of other air purifiers in the house, this claim turned out to be true.
Dyson Cool Gen1 provides cooling, but not so much that you have to remove the AC from the house. Many people are confused that this can be used as a replacement for cooler or AC, but the answer is – not so. It will not keep you cool in the heat of Delhi. However, it will keep you warm in mild summer.
This air purifier rotates 360 degrees. After turning on the rotation, it rotates on its own and then it looks no less than a future robot. Due to this the airflow distribution remains correct.
The purifier comes with a sleek remote that is magnetic. You know that remotes kept at home get lost every day. To avoid this, you can keep its magnetic remote on the top of the purifier.
It is very easy to connect this air purifier with the Dyson app. The user interface of the Dyson app is also great. Many controls are provided with which you can control this air purifier. However, the features which are found in the company’s flagship air purifier are not visible in its accompanying app.
Talking about Dyson’s other flagship air purifier, you can monitor the AQI level of the room 24X7 through My Dyson. Historical data is also available which tells you through graphs when the AQI level was in your room and which pollutants were found. These features are missing here. The company should have added features.
However, you get a round LCD panel in this air purifier where you get all kinds of information. From here you can check AQI and also know about pollutants.

Delhi is at number-1 one among the most polluted capitals of the world. There would probably be no better place in India than Delhi to test an air purifier. Although air pollution is less in Delhi at present, the AQI here goes above 1000 from time to time. Even the measurement of the machine fails.
It is quite easy to install and replace the air filter. Two types of filters are provided in it. While the HEPA filter cleans the air, the carbon filter removes allergens.
This air purifier can effectively handle a medium sized room. In Delhi’s pollution, within an hour it cleans the air of the room and reduces the AQI level to 10-15, but if the level is above 500, it takes a few hours to reduce it. If the room is small then it also keeps it cool. It is equipped with sensors which detect PM 2.5, PM 10, No2 and VOC. You will get all this information on the display.
Talking about noise, it is not completely silent. Keeping the fan on maximum speed makes it noisy and its sound is heard in the entire room.
